I was going to wait until September to start posting, but why wait? There's no time like the present. So here goes....
Thought I'd start with an acceptance card for a dinner party my husband and I have been invited to in August.
I punched a 3" circle from an offcut of card that was left over from some wedding stationery I made. I attached it to the card base using Herma. I used the African Daisy Tapestry stamps using Versa Colour inkpads (violet, evergreen, gold, charcoal and grape). I lifted the circle and put it onto foam pads and re-attached it to the card, Finally, I used some star dust Stickles.
I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:
Congratulations on setting up your new blog! A great card to start it off. Clever idea to stamp over the circle temporarily attached to your card, then raise it up on foam pads. Very effective! As you've used an offcut, it will be perfect for the challenge on Pixie's Snippets Playground. Gates will be open tomorrow for the new challenge, so you can link it up then. xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Liz! I've not used the tapestry stamps for quite a while xx

DeleteAlso visiting from Darnell's blog and must say you're doing a beautiful job, not only crafting cards but having the ability to create and use a new blog. My hat's off to you. It's something I've not attempted but I love visiting others and it's my primary source of learning new techniques, etc. I so appreciate the sharing done throughout cardmaking blogdom. I'm signing on as a follower but if it requires me going to a site to pick up your blog, I'll probably never get to it. I'm afraid it takes receiving an email to jar my memory. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Pat,

ReplyDeleteThank you Birgit :) I used Herma to hold the circle in place whilst I used the tapestry stamps. I lifted the circle, put foam pads on the back of it, and put it back in pace carefully lining up the design x
