September Celebrations

September is one of the busy months for me with friends and family celebrating birthdays and wedding anniversaries. Two friends are celebrating their anniversaries this month. After the Art Journaling Day, I was more than happy to go back to the clean and simple style I love. My husband calls it 'simple and effective'. I decided to try an all white card and embossed a piece of card to give it some texture. I used the Stampin' Up bird punch and used some small pearls for eyes. I used foam pads to give the bird components lift. The greeting is computer generated.

To see the card the recipient made for her husband, click on the link below.

The second card is for a friend of the family. I thought I would add a splash of colour to the card and added a red heart.

I would like to enter this card for the following challenge:

  1. Two gorgeous cards, Ruth! Very elegant. I love white on white cards, but haven't ever taken the plunge and made one. xx

    1. The postman needs a good ticking off, as he hasn't delivered the top one yet! Can't wait to see it IRL. :-D xx

  2. Simple and effective is a good description Ruth. These cards are delightful, the little birds are so cute and the embossed backgrounds add nice texture. I have never managed to make a white on white card that I was happy with.
